Biography
As a teenager I became fascinated with close-up magic, particularly card magic. During those years I purchased many self-working card tricks and gaffed card decks. I never studied any difficult sleight-of-hand back then but maintained a keen interest in card magic right through to the present time.
In 1994 I began a more focused study of sleight of hand through magic literature, media and private instruction. While study and instruction are still part of my routine, I have been performing in various venues for over 5 years.
The type of magic I perform is generally considered close-up with a touch of comedy involving cards, coins and small objects. I have also performed parlor and stage magic for larger audiences where in addition to cards and small objects, the magic of mentalism is incorporated.
I have been the featured performer at several hotel and corporate events. I have also frequently performed at many private parties and restaurants in and around San Diego.
